Welcome to Capitol Romance! My name is Bree and I am a recent newlywed looking to help out other DC Metro Area couples that are looking to get married in the area with a budget and some unconventional ideas.

Getting married in DC was a challenge both financially and creatively. Finding a venue and vendors that would help execute my vision for my wedding day, but not blow the bank, felt next to impossible at times.  By the end of the entire process, I just felt that there had to be a better way! A one-stop place for the people of our nation’s capitol to get cool, unique, refreshing wedding inspiration and vendor help.

My husband and I used a perfect fusion of friends, DC area vendors, DIY, and our ever-supportive parents, to throw the DC Wedding we could have only dreamed of.  I want to use the things I learned and the relationships I built throughout my year of planning to help other DC area couples that are tired of the same-old, repetitive (and EXPENSIVE) weddings that are most commonly seen in the city of Washington, DC.

People come in all shapes and sizes, why should weddings be any different? If you are planning to have a kick-ass wedding that represents who you are as a person and as a couple, then I want to hear from you! If you are a kick-ass vendor for DC area wedding services, then I want to hear from you too!
